WHO
WE ARE
MD Billing LLC began over 25 years ago with the intent on giving providers a way to begin, sustain, and become successful private practices. Our business is family owned, operated and 100% in house. My mother started the business after many years of working for a medical billing company and teaching medical billing part time as a single mom trying to raise her daughter. During her time working for someone else, she saw the trials of many practices that were bought by bigger companies then dropped leaving nothing left, trusting billing companies that let inexperienced staff handle their accounts, having staff that didn’t understand the balance between patient care and the bottom line. She knew she could do better for clients and herself. So, she started MD Billing LLC. With hard work, dedication, and lots of love she cultivated a real and trusted solution for her clients. She went on to teach me as I had firsthand witnessed her hard work and helped where I could since I was of age. I was sent to the Robert H. Smith school of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park where I graduated and then trained at our company starting from the bottom. Some say the opportunity of becoming a partner in a family business is handed down, but I look at it as what you do with that opportunity. It took me over 10 years to even tap into the intricacies of coding, onboarding an EMR/practice management system from the ground up, training front office staff and our staff, understanding 277 rejections, the list goes on. Mastering this industry is not an easy feat which is why all our services are kept in house. MD Billing does not outsource its work offshore, it is not a huge company where it might take going through 5-10 people to speak to someone who can help, it is just us and our staff who strive to take great care in our work and of our clients.
